[The SEKAI is quiet. Well- it usually is, aside from the faint echoes of the song that had touched Mafuyu's heart, but it's more silent than it has been in a while. With holiday festivities coming up, Mizuki had been insistent that they all spend more time in the SEKAI, to celebrate with the Virtual Singers. Especially with KAITO there now - though he often looked disgruntled at the idea of being included, when Mizuki did manage to rope him into the group, he didn't drift away like MEIKO often did. Sweets and warm drinks were shared, Ena and Mizuki would bicker over the last slice of cheesecake, and things just seemed... nice lately.
But today it was quiet. It was just her and Mafuyu in the SEKAI, the Virtual Singers off wherever they were when they weren't with Niigo, and the only sounds between them were the scratching of pencils on paper as they worked silently side-by-side. It was nice; a feeling of peace Kanade felt like she so rarely had.
... But it seems that peace is about to be disrupted. On one of the bare beams of scaffolding, which the two of them had been leaning against as they quietly worked side by side, a bright, curling bit of mistletoe sprouts. And for some time it goes unnoticed, until Kanade leans back, arms reaching above her head as she tries to stretch out her sore back. She manages to glance up, eyes catching on the point of bright color in the otherwise grey world-
- And freezes.]
... Ah...
[Look. Kanade's not stupid. She's sure she knows what that is. But- she has to be seeing things, right? That... that's just strange.]
