[As an owner, Rook is endlessly encouraging and affectionate. Pets can expect to get plenty of grooming, pampering, and playtime--and possibly the sort of obnoxious doting and silly little songs all pets seem doomed to endure when they're trying to nap or just act a little too aloof and dignified. Odds are he might enjoy entering them into shows and competitions, and/or do some pet photography and make them a little Instagram Magicam famous. Wanna be the next Grumpy Cat?
As a pet, Rook is a bird of prey, exotic but perhaps shockingly easy to handle even if you do adopt him as a feral instead of as a pet. As happy and affectionate as he is, he's still just a bit wild; expect to get "gifts" of either dead or terrified vermin and local wildlife, and unfortunately acrobatic 3 AM zoomies if you don't keep him active enough. He's a lot more trouble to maintain than one of the more commonly popular songbirds--but even in spite of how energetic he is, he's almost as good to dress up for admiration as they are, and sings and dances quite beautifully for his owner even if he wasn't bred for it. Who's up for some falconry?
Open to M/F, M/M, and M/*. Any prompts are good! LMK if you have an idea but don't want to write the starter.]
