[Vash wants to just let Ain keep it, but...he realizes that it probably seems silly to have him wearing two coats. If people didn't notice them before, they sure would notice now...and as it stands, they've still got more time to spend here. So Vash nods as they stand so he can fish out a few bills from his pocket from the money that Ain........liberated from the police. In spite of himself, he also adds a probably too-generous tip for the waitress.]
Mm, might be a good idea...we might be hungry for breakfast again in the morning.
[Read: Vash will be hungry. Vash is ALWAYS hungry.
From there, once Vash has gotten his coat back, he'll walk side-by-side with Ain back outside. They'd actually been in the restaurant an hour or so, long enough for the sun to begin to set. It's a dusky orange with the lights along the streets just starting to pop on. Things are getting busier, with owners bustling about now that they're off work and looking for dinner, or walking with their pets to grab groceries before heading home. Some seem to be in a bit of a hurry, while others linger, glancing up at the sky every so often. The clouds have darkened considerably since they went inside...
And it isn't immediately clear why, not until Vash feels something cold land on the tip of his nose. He blinks, lifting his flesh-and-blood fingers up to his face just in time to watch a speck land on his red jacket sleeve, solidifying there for a second before it melts into water.
He looks up, just in time to see the first large flakes of snow fall over the town.]
