[Don't threaten him with a good time, especially when Vash has to be told to wait.....alas. For now though, he'll happily oblige, becoming Ain's pillow effectively as they lay down together. Come here Ain, come sleep on his titties.
Ain doesn't recover hours later, or even a few days later. Colds, as it turns out, have a funny way of sticking around, especially if you pushed yourself into having one. Luckily, Ain isn't on death's doorstep, and he isn't in danger of contracting pneumonia any time soon. The more he rests, the better he gets, day by day. It does mean though that Vash is spending most of his time at the inn looking after his pet, which he doesn't mind at all. Tucking him into bed, bringing him cool cloths for his forehead, feeding him, helping him bathe...and of course cuddling him to sleep at night just in case his fever breaks and he starts getting cold again.
This also means that the end of the week creeps up on them all too fast. They haven't spent all of their money- they probably have enough to stay for another half a week, but that isn't counting the extra hotel charges they'd have to cover- which means this is the perfect time to start packing up and heading out. They'll relocate to the next town and start the process all over again, only it may not be so easy to lay low next time. Vash...isn't yet sure what Ain's hometown is going to be like. Is his face plastered all over wanted posters there, too?
The weather seems to recognize this as being their last day too, because it's snowing steadily as they finish off breakfast that morning. Ain seems to have made a mostly full recovery, save for generally being a little weaker due to having been in bed for a couple days. Vash peers out the window as he finishes off a bagel, tilting his head.]
