[…you know. Vash thinks he likes that answer better than learning Ain was ostracized or an outcast, or felt like he had to leave for whatever reason. Leaving on his own terms means that he never had to deal with any of that (lol. Lmao.), which Vash can be silently grateful for. He’s also very humbled that Ain would invite him here in the first place, especially when…it’s very obvious pretty much immediately that humans aren’t supposed to be down here, even though Vash is technically merely human passing.
And because Vash is always keeping one eye open for danger, he’s already recognized that people are looking at them. Is it with recognition? He’s not entirely sure…just that they’ve been noticed, which is a little nerve wracking in itself.
No time to ponder that though, because now they’re in a little shop and that is…not a normal human or pet or anything sitting on that counter, and uhhhh-
Vash quickly plops a hand- the prosthetic- on Ain’s shoulder before waving with his other, smiling at “Ms. Queen”.]
Ah, hello! I’m….yep! That’s me!
[He is the boy who is also a friend, but also screams Ain did you really just say that Vash is going to burst into flames-]
