( the thing is, she was never really meant to be here. or she was, but hope's peak had to try very hard to get her to agree to actually transfer. even then, designating her the "ultimate misfortune" when she was trying to leave that bit of herself behind was... she might have cracked the cup she was holding when she saw that. but it's fine! she could work with it. ... and unfortunately, it wasn't like she was subtle about her abilities- once they had a hook in her, there was no way she was getting out of this.
had they told her the whole story, however, that hook never would have had a chance. no one likes getting two surprise roommates after all- and what's the deal with her being the only girl? of course they didn't tell her until now, when she was sitting across from the principal himself, glaring at a small stack of papers with such intensity no one would be surprised if it burst into flames. something about helping a student discover his own 'talent'- god she was getting sick of that word already- and assisting in that by exposing him to two volatile and unusual 'talents' themselves. because luck is contagious and so is magic, clearly.
... it was really tempting to light the information packet on fire, actually. )
Is this some kind of joke? Literally what part of this sounds like a good idea-
( she's been at this for a bit now. so when her... future roommates approach the office, they may hear the rant continue. particularly, through the wooden door- )
What do you think this is, My Little Pony!? You watch too many episodes about the Cutie Mark Crusaders or whatever, old man? God--
( and when the door opens she flops back in her seat, crossing her arms and legs both and glaring at anything and everything. the new arrivals may have saved everyone from her temper, it seems. if the principal takes the time to explain everything himself, she's stopped paying attention, even as she's introduced as "felicity morais"- though he doesn't get a chance to mention her title outloud, because at that point his drink randomly tips over, and that sure is hot coffee everywhere! ... not that it matters, they'll see it when they read their own packets. the air feels staticky around her though, and if kirigiri is unnerved, he's not showing it... but he's definitely dropping things more than a man of his caliber probably should? )
